I am most interested in examining the process-outcome relationships between process variables, such as therapist adherence, and psychotherapeutic outcome (e.g., client symptom change, dropout, etc.). My research focuses on identifying candidate mechanisms of symptom change in cognitive therapy (CT) for depression with individuals suffering from Major Depressive Disorder. Currently, I am examining the role of therapist use of Socratic questioning in CT for depression and its relation to therapeutic outcome.
